The Chicago Bulls are looking to drastically improve during this summer's NBA offseason, and, according to reports today, it looks like they are willing to sacrifice anyone on their current roster to do so.

Everyone apart from Derrick Rose that is.

As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bulls are willing to discuss the futures of all of their current team apart from the perennially injured former league MVP:

"They are looking to exhaust as many assets as it will take," one source close to the situation in Chicago told Sun-Times reporter Joe Cowley who went on to note that the team "are looking to improve the startling lineup at any cost".

The Bulls made it into the postseason after a dramatic improvement in the final months of the regular-season, finishing with a record of 48-34, but are planning to add quality to their roster this offseason with ambitions for a run at the Finals remaining high.

In order to do that there have been long-running rumors that power forward Taj Gibson may be used as a make weight in any future sign and trade deal. But the news that the likes of Joakim Noah have not been confirmed as safe at the franchise is surprising. Especially considering the fact that Noah earned All-NBA defensive first team honors after an impressive year in Chicago.

Rose meanwhile, only featured in 10 games for the Bulls as his persistent knee trouble resurfaced.

Making room in the salary cap is a necessity for the Bulls front-office if ambitions to bring in Carmelo Anthony this offseason are legitimate, whilst Minnesota Timberwolves' want-away star Kevin Love is also on their radar but surely Noah would feel himself beyond consideration.

The more likely names that will come up in coming weeks are sure however to include Taj Gibson who seems the most likely to be sacrifices by the franchise as Melo looks increasingly likely to move into free-agency.

Gibson however is set to earn $25.45 million over the next three seasons if he should stay at Chicago, which is actually a fairly acceptable price for someone who has grown into an integral part of the starting line up over recent months.

Whatever happens the coming weeks are sure to be an interesting time for franchise's up and down the league as they look to make changes ahead of the next NBA campaign and today's revelations point to Chicago being one to keep an eye on.
