Landon Donovan was left out of Jurgen Klinsmann's World Cup squad to much furore from most of the soccer loving American public. And it really does look like Donovan himself is taking the snub way better than any of the USMNT fans did.
The Los Angeles Galaxy forward broke the MLS goal scoring record in his first game after it was made public that he wouldn't be in Brazil, then teamed up with the Galaxy themselves to put out a short viral video mocking himself, and then got himself a cushy bit of pocket money by signing up with ESPN to be an analyst during the United States matches.
Now the 32-year old is poking fun at himself yet again thanks to EA Sports. The makers of the FIFA Football franchise actually make the USA's leading scorer and cap holder sing "I'm not going, I'm not going, I'm not going to Brazil..."
In the video Donovan is walking around in a USA bathrobe after waking up late, lounging around his apartment and playing the FIFA World Cup game with which he manages to win the Competition with the States, all playing on the fact that he has nothing to do this summer and it's the closest that he'll get to the tournament.
It's actually really good to see that Landycakes is taking it well. He could've held a massive grudge and been bitter about the whole incident but he's gone the other way and accepted it, taking with it the comedic element that he can bring with the situation.
