WWE Money in the Bank is under two weeks away and not a lot of details have been revealed about the event.
We’re already aware that The Usos will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships at the event against Erick Rowan and Luke Harper of The Wyatt Family. Whilst Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Sheamus will compete in the ladder match for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Two spots are yet to be filled and they could well be revealed on Raw or on the event itself; but what else do we fans want to happen on the night?
We all love a surprise or two, the odd return here and there and a heel or face turn always goes down a treat as well; such as the Seth Rollins heel turn a few weeks ago.
Here are what I believe the majority of fans would want at Money in the Bank on June 29.
A Sheamus heel turn
It’s about time Sheamus turned heel once more. The Sheamus everyone once loved was the ultimate heel when he surprisingly defeated John Cena to become the WWE Champion and his menacing look and his size frightened his opponents. That feeling has disappeared ever since he decided to fight with a big smile on his face.
A Sheamus heel turn will be fresh. He can feud with the faces in John Cena once more and fans will actually be pleased he is giving the United States Championship some life.
A Chris Jericho return
Everyone loves a Y2J return and the Money in the Bank main event would be the perfect stage for Jericho to make an emphatic – yet unlikely – return and capture the championship.
He is just what the company needs right now, even if it is for a few months as the lack of depth as the top has been exposed with the Daniel Bryan injury. His injury has caused a lot of plans to be changed and a Jericho return and win would be a fantastic, or an even better substitution.
Dividing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
At first the WWE World Heavyweight Championship unification sounded like a fantastic idea, but once more it has been proven that it is not the best of decisions.
Again, Bryan’s unfortunate injury has had a massive effect on storylines and plans and if there was a World Heavyweight Champion carrying the secondary title, it would still allow a top guy to compete on a weekly basis, right now there is no top guy with former champion Bryan recovering at home.
The ideal scenario would be for two superstars to unhook the two belts at the same time, ultimately dividing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and having two top champions once again.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen The Beast Incarnate. His final appearance was the night after WrestleMania XXX where the fans were still coming to terms that he had conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak.
With rumoured plans suggesting Bryan and Lesnar will clash at SummerSlam, this would be the perfect opportunity for Lesnar to return in the ladder match, or even forcefully take some other superstars’ spot.
The only problem is he isn’t experienced in this type of match, but with someone like Lesnar you probably don’t need to be that experienced to go out and destroy everyone standing in front of you.
WWE fans – what do you think? Will any of these occur at Money in the Bank? Have your own predictions? Let us know in the comments section below!
