Guillermo Ochoa was able to produce a stunning display of shot-stopping to keep Brazil at bay on Tuesday evening, preventing the host country from making it two wins from their first two World Cup fixtures.

Despite all of Brazil’s attacking talent, including Neymar, Oscar and, erm, Fred, there was no way past the Mexico No.1, who was able to register one of the most memorable World Cup goalkeeping performances.

It was a timely display by Ochoa, not just for his country, but for the 28-year-old himself, who is out of contract with Ajaccio this summer. Annually linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, it may well be that Ochoa now gets his Premier League move.
