This time last month The Shield were gearing up for possibly the biggest match of their short career as they took on Evolution in an elimination match at Payback.
Now it seems one of the most dominant trio's in WWE history have gone their separate ways. Last week on Raw Seth Rollins unveiled his new entrance theme, something that didn't go down too well on social media with many fans hinting that this was just a filler whilst WWE worked on something that suited his character better.
This week on Raw Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose debuted their new themes with Dean's sounding much like Seth's, and Roman's being a remix of the old Shield theme.
This being said, Seth still came to the ring in his Shield swat gear, minus the combat jacket and Roman still wore his Shield gear for the entire episode, it was only Dean who ran to the ring in jeans and a jacket and then wrestled Bad news Barrett in the same clothes.
It was used as a way to ensure fans would think that Dean shouldn't have been wrestling so that wasn't his actual gear, but last night's Smackdown tapings saw both Dean and Seth debut their new gear as Seth now wears tight black gear and it seems Dean has gone back to much of the attire he used to wear as the infamous Jon Moxley.
Dean and Seth are now in a heated feud as they look to be facing each other one-on-one in the near future either at Battleground or Summerslam. This comes after Rollins announced on this week's Main Event that he will now be part of the Money in the Bank contract match next weekend.
It is unlikely The Authority will allow Ambrose to take part in the match which means we would miss out on a showdown, but Dean could still run interference and cost Seth a World Title match. At the same time Roman is taking part in the World Title ladder match and all the build up has put him firmly in the driving seat for the title so it seems Triple H could be running interference in that match to ensure a face down between the two in the future.
Two weeks ago fans were shocked that the group had officially split, but now it seems WWE are slowly changing them from trio into three main event superstars and so far fans are firmly behind all three of them with the character development going along a lot faster than most fans predicted.
