Floyd Mayweather certainly loves making headlines. It keeps him in the public eye when he's not boxing, and we know that boxers don't naturally fight often enough for their actual in the ring actions to do the talking 24/7. That's why Mayweather talks so much out of the ring, but sometimes it can get him into a lot of trouble.

The pound for pound king is well known for his controversial views on gender and sexuality and race, and this week he's made more comments that could deem him to be sexist.

Certainly that's what a lot of reports across the web are labelling him as after comments he made regarding the way women dress in public.

It's very likely that Mayweather makes these comments just to get a backlash and keep himself in the public eye, but the comments are extremely offensive and he should be called up on them.

Writing on Instagram account, he explained that women who dress less classy shouldn't be respected.

"How a female dresses is her advertisement. If a female shows half of her body, she's asking to be disrespected. If she dresses classy, expect to be treated like a lady," he wrote on Instagram.

"How you're addresses lies on your attire. Sexy is a spirit, not an outfit."

Mayweather has gone too far this time

It's seems to be quite a statement from Mayweather, who is essentially saying that women who dress showing skin shouldn't be respected. It smacks of a double standard.

We know that he's a lover of life in the fast lane, and it's hard to imagine that the ladies he's interested in cover up all the time.

It's a women's decision on what they want to wear and it's other people's fault if they don't respect them.

Mayweather has made crazy comments like this before

It isn't just sexism that Mayweather likes to dip his toes into, he doesn't mind a bit of racism as well.

Now we all know that the pound for pound king has wanted to fight Manny Pacquiao for sometime, or at least that's what we're led to believe. But negotiations have never turned into a concrete agreement.

Well when Mayweather refereed to his possible opponent Pacquiao and talked about how he was going to beat him - he couldn't help but throw a little racism in there to spice things up.

"Once I stomp the midget, I’mma make that motherf---er make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice ... you know how it is baby, we gonna cook that motherf---er with some cats and dogs."
