Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata set to snub the Premiership for Juventus

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata could be playing his football in Turin next season with Serie A champions Juventus and not with Arsenal and Wolfsburg according leading Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio.

Arsene Wenger has wanted to bring the 21-year old striker to the Emirates Stadium for some time now however recent reports have suggested that he has become the number one target for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, backed by German car manufacturer Volkswagen.

Juventus favourites

If Di Marzio is to be believed, Juventus have moved into pole position to sign the talented Spanish under-21 international and have already tabled a €12 million offer to Real Madrid, well below the overpriced €30 million Real are looking for.

- Morata could end up linking up with Alexi Sanchez at Juventus
- Wolfsburg will take on Juventus for Morata

Morata impressed at the Bernabeu last season with nine goals, despite limited opportunities.

He is well down the pecking order in Madrid when you consider that Ancelotti's has Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema at his disposal, and with Real President Florentino Perez working hard behind the scenes to land Luis Suarez, it is clear Morata has no short term future at the club.

Juventus have apparently offered Morata a five year deal and with Champions League football part of the Turin agenda this could prove the right move for the youngster.

Real have also insisted they want to insert a fixed price buy back clause in the contract which Juventus don't seem to have a problem with.

Alexi Sanchez

If Morata does make the move to the Turin, he could find himself linking up with Chilean star Alexi Sanchez who has become Juventus' top target in recent days, and with his international team-mate Arturo Vidal playing his football at the club, Sanchez looks likely to join.

Fernando Llorente will be monitoring Juventus' interest in bringing in more frontmen and could push through a return to Spain, possibly with Barcelona who have expressed an interest in the former Athletico Madrid forward.

The news will come as a bitter blow for Arsene Wenger who has tried to secure a top striker for some time now and it looks likely he will now turn his attention to Mario Mandzukic and Mario Balotelli.
