The 2014 edition of the World Cup has enjoyed one of the greatest starts in the competition’s illustrious history, with goals galore and, apart from the odd game, a high entertainment factor.
But one of the most notable things about this World Cup in Brazil is the colourful boots on display, with Nike, adidas, Puma and others all battling to ensure their brand establishes itself as the most memorable of the tournament.
While some may consider this fancy footwear to be somewhat garish, others will delighted at this twinkle-toed stars strutting their stuff in far from traditional boots. 2018 will certainly have plenty to live up to if it is to even much the kaleidoscope dream that is 2014.
