AC Milan are willing to let star striker Mario Balotelli make a switch to Arsenal if the north London giants are willing to send Joel Campbell in the other direction, according to the Daily Express.
The Arsenal youngster scored 11 goals and 12 assists in 43 appearances while on loan with Olympiacos last term, but it is his current form in the World Cup finals that has impressed the bosses at Milan. The Italians have placed a £25million price tag on Balotelli, but a deal including Campbell could drastically reduce that fee should be perform in Brazil this summer.
Both clubs want to wait until the conclusion of Costa Rica’s World Cup campaign to decide on the 21-year-old’s value. Campbell equalised for Costa Rica in their opening game, which ended as a 3-1 victory over Uruguay and another shock victory over Italy would put them top of group D.
Balotelli, who scored the winner in a 2-1 victory over England on Saturday, is keen on a return back to the Premier League this summer, with a number of clubs being linked with the unpredictable striker, with Arsenal emerging as the front-runners to secure his signature in recent weeks.
Club boss, Arsene Wenger, recently confirmed that Campbell would return to Arsenal after the World Cup and stated that “he is maturing well”, but the chance to sign Italy’s star forward could tempt him part with the talented youngster.
