The NFL has so much parity these days that average teams can become great during one off season, but great teams can lose there way quickly as well.

Seattle Seahawks are a great example of that. Once in the wilderness of a shocking NFC West division, they are now the reigning Super Bowl champions and top dogs in the an NFC West that is the best division in the NFL.

On the other side of the coin, a Pittsburgh Steelers team that won two and made three Super Bowls during the noughties is now a perennial under achiever.

Only teams with Peyton Manning or Tom Brady as their quarterback have managed consistency over the last decade.
