The WWE and Vince McMahon have been on a massive cull recently, clearing wrestler after wrestler and backstage personnel off the books in an effort to cut the losses that they have been making and give a boost to their ailing stock prices on the stock exchange.
Scottish wrestling star Drew McIntyre was part of that culling earlier in the week, and speaking to Chris Jericho on the Canadian's podcast he revealed just how shocked he was when he was given the boot.
Regardless of what people thought about 3MB, they were on everything, he said according to WrestlingInc. He had no indication that he was being released. He said that 3MB was working as hard as they could for the position that they were in, and he felt that they were doing a good job considering what they were being asked to do.
It's also true that the group were appearing on nearly every show, okay most of the time they were to be worked over or just provide presence to the whole Hornswoggle vs El Torito thing that actually kind of worked pretty well.
McIntyre went on to say that even the man that called him up to say he was being let go, Mark Carrano, was surprised that he was making the call.
No Chance of Success
McIntyre went on to say that the group he was a part of was dead in the water before they even began. The fact that they were made to perform despite him having a broken wrist, when he was supposed to be the tough guy of the group beating all opponents up, was a stupid move from the higher ups and he was found out almost instantly with the injury.
