We start with the news the golf world has been waiting for, Tiger Woods has confirmed he will make his return at this week’s PGA Tour event at Congressional. The fourteen time major winner has not been in action since early March after complaining of pain in his lower back. He later missed the Masters at Augusta because of back surgery and has been recovering ever since. Announcing on Facebook, Tiger said he was a bit rusty but wanted to get himself back into competitive shape.

More reaction now from the Women’s U.S. Open where Stephanie Meadow has spoken about her superb third place finish. The twenty-two year old from Northern Ireland only turned professional just last week but has already made a huge impact on the professional tour:

And finally, after a disappointing Irish Open for Graeme McDowell’s, he showed off his sense of humour by posting this photo on facebook:

Dashing hopes of a first Irish Open, McDowell remarked: “Robbed on the greens this weekend. Police Investigation has begun!!”
