With Spain failing to make it out of the group stages of the World Cup, are they still looked upon as the best team in the world and what can they do after the disappointment of the competition?
Spain finished Group B with just three points after losing to Holland and Chile before beating Australia who were also heading home.
The Spanish were one of the clear favourites going into the competition but failed to show any of the form that led them to glory at the 2010 World Cup as well as Euro 2008 and 2012.
The big question is has Spain's dominance of international football ended? I think it has. Spain still have one of the best squads in the World but their players are ageing, with the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta coming to the end of their careers. It is hard to see how the Spanish side will pick themselves up from this World Cup and challenge for the Euro's in 2016.
The Spanish team are as good as they will ever be but they have past their peak and this was found out by teams like Holland and Chile who used their pace to exploit the weaknesses in the Spanish side.
Everyone expected Spain to be better at this World Cup because this time they had a proper striker in Diego Costa but he did nothing which was one of the main reasons why they failed to progress to the knock out stages.
Their ageing midfield means they need to bring players through the ranks quickly if they are going to have a strong side at the Euro's in France.
Going into Euro 2016 it is likely Spain will go in as one of the favourites but I don't think they will be able to do great things. A lot of European teams are becoming stronger and teams such as Germany, Italy, France, Holland and even England won't feel threatened by the Spanish side as they are more than capable of beating them.
Teams can now see that passing football doesn't always work, it looks good but sometimes it isn't the best way to win matches. During this World Cup Chile used their pace to unlock the Spain defence and their was no response by Spain as they lack a bit of speed.
There is a silver lining though as they beat Australia convincing in their last group game showing the Spain that everyone is used to seeing.
They will be at Euro 2016 and I'm sure they will make it out of whatever group they are put in but winning the tournament is way out of their reach now.
