We start off in the NBA, where Lebron James has apparently opted out of his deal with Miami. James will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st thus he can talk to other teams.

He is expected to stay at Miami but a move can’t be ruled out just yet. We’re still to see what Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will do.

Sticking to the NBA, where reports say that Byron Scott is the frontrunner for the vacant LA Lakers head coaching job.

The former Nets and Hornets boss has been without a side since being fired by the Cavs in 2013. Scott was named NBA coach of the year in 2008, when he was at New Orleans.

Over to the World Cup, where Mexico have qualified for the second round. El Tri beat Croatia 3-1 last night thanks to goals from Andres Guardado, Rafa Marquez and Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

Miguel Herrera’s men will face the Netherlands in the second round.
