Liverpool have to cash in on star striker Luis Suarez after his fourth major controversy in his career.
Suarez bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini in the second half during Uruguay's clash with the Italians, an off the ball incident that went unpunished. But the cameras saw the disgusting act which will surely lead to serious repercussions for the 27-year old.
This week, speculation has been surrounding Suarez with Barcelona being heavily linked with a bid this summer and now Liverpool must surely be thinking about offloading their striker.
Even before Suarez's arrived in England, he was found guilty of biting PSV's Otman Bakkal on the shoulder in 20 November 2010.
The Merseyside club have stuck by Suarez during recent controversies by there can be no coming back from this latest insanity. The Uruguayan was accused of racism towards Manchester United's Patrice Evra in October 2011 leading to an eight-match ban. Liverpool stood by him with no real concrete evidence suggesting he was guilty.
But, in April 2013, Liverpool couldn't defend their star man after he was seen biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic during a Premier League clash at Anfield. A 10-match ban was the punishment and it seemed as though Liverpool would offload their controversial striker. But with a lack of interest last summer, only Arsenal with a transfer offer, he stayed at the club.
He appeared to have learnt his lesson during last season with significantly improved behaviour, cutting out his diving and captaining his club on occasions showing his leadership. He was also in the form of his life, scoring 31 Premier League goals and seemed very happy with life at the club.
But this latest ludicrous, disgusting act has got to mean that Liverpool must offload him. They've stood by him through thick and thin but if Liverpool keep hold of Suarez now, it will surely tarnish their reputation.
The question is: who will want to buy this animal now?
