Sam Allardyce has been one of the busiest Premier League managers so far in the transfer window, but the West Ham manager of three years has stated that he would like to add five more players to his current squad.
Deals for Argentine forward Mauro Zarate and Senegalese international Cheikhou Kouyate have already been concluded, despite some fierce competition for the transfers.
However, Allardyce is aware that his squad is in need of strengthening in all areas if he is to achieve the 'top-10' target set to him by the board following last seasons poor finish.
But unlike some other managers, Big Sam has the full backing of his board to pursue the top targets which are needed.
Additions are needed from back to front, and a number of bids are currently on the table, with Allardyce hoping he will receive some positive news in the near future.
In an interview with West Ham TV, he said: "We've made many bids and there are many negotiations ongoing.
"We particularly want a left-back, ideally another centre-back, a midfielder and at least two more for the front line."
