The Daily Express reports, that the Catalan club are still very interested in signing Suarez, despite his disgraced status following yet another biting incident as they hope to sign him for a cheaper price tag.
Much has been made about the 27-year-old's future at Anfield after he was banned for four months - the longest ban in World Cup history - for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini last Tuesday.
Despite Suarez not even being able to train or have any part in football until October, Barcelona are still keen to tempt him into joining them at the Nou Camp. However, their board are extremely cautious of the Uruguay man repeating his ludicrous offences.
There are many rumours speculating around Spain, that the Spanish giants are ready to offer Suarez a five-year-deal worth £160,000-per-week should he opt to leave the Merseyside club.
Although the La Liga club are adamant on implement a 'biting clause' into Suarez's contract. This will see the striker be automatically punished by the club should he misbehave or effectively bite anybody on or off the pitch.
Liverpool to sell at a cut price?
There is no doubt Liverpool will be wanting to sell their best player at the best price possible as they are demanding as much as £80 million but will most likely have to face the reality of a much cheaper sale.
Barcelona are set to offer as little as £25 million to capture their top target, as they get ready to start talks with the reds. If negations fail however, the Catalans are willing to offer Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez to sweeten the deal.
Barcelona the only option for Suarez?
The dilemma that now faces Liverpool football club, is that Barcelona may be the only option they have to save their diminishing reputation. The problem now, is that many clubs that would have been keen to sign Suarez before, will be thinking again, preferring to opt out of any potential controversy.
Suarez himself will want to escape his Premier League hell and move to another top European club to try and re-build his career. Surprisingly for some, Barcelona appear to be the only club who still want Suarez and with Liverpool under big pressure to sell, they may not have much choice.
