Bayern Munich have raised their bid for highly rated Juventus midfielder, Arturo Vidal, up to €40 million.

This is according to Sport Mediaset, as the Bundesliga side, who have had a keen interest in the player for a long time, have increased their offer following strong performances from the Chilean at this World Cup.

It has been reported that Juventus director general, Beppe Marotta, has received a new offer worth €40 million. This however is still short of the minimum asking price set by the Serie A side which is €60 million.

Vidal interest

Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are also rumoured to be interested in the 27-year old.

"The Warrior," as he is otherwise known, is no stranger to the German League having spent a large chunk of his career at Bayer Leverkusen, from 2007 to 2011, making 117 appearances scoring just 15-goals.

- Chilean star in demand after World Cup performances
- United interested in Vidal
- Wenger trying to land midfielder
- Plenty of speculation surrounding Vidal

He moved to the Italian side in the summer of 2011, for a fee of €10.5 million. Due to the club's rivalry with Bayern Munich, Vidal was swept any from any advancements.

Juventus contract expires 2016

Currently, he is seeing out his five year contract with the club which will come to an end in 2016. So far he has made 95 appearances for the reigning Italian champions and he has found the net 28 times.

This included a hat-trick in the Champions League against Copengagen in November, becoming the first man to score a treble in Europe since Filippo Inzaghi back in September 2000.

Juventus will want to keep their man

In 2013, Vidal was voted as the club's player of the season after he helped them win another league title. Because of this, the Chilean maestro is rated very highly in Turin.

Increased offer

Munich are now prepared to increase their offer for the talisman and will hope to add him to the already acquired striker Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund while speculation grows over the future of current forward, Mario Mandzukic.

Bayern are also chasing another Serie A starlet who is performing at this year's World Cup, Colombia's, Juan Cuadrado. The Fiorentina midfielder scored 11 goals last year as his side finished fourth and he will play in the Europa league next season.

He has scored once at this year's tournament, with James Rodriquez leading the billing and the Golden Boot prize with 5 so far, and the pair will feature in the quarter final clash against Brazil on Friday.
