Jermain Defoe might not be a Tottenham and England star anymore but he's still got that ultimate desire to score goals. He shown that again this weekend in an Major League Soccer for his Toronto FC when that desire got the better of him and result in a fight with his teammate.
Toronto FC had just won a free-kick on the edge of the penalty box. Now I know what you're thinking, Defoe doesn't take free-kicks. But let's remember he is playing in the MLS now.
So as his teammate Gilberto grabbed the ball and plonked it down in possession, Defoe desire for a goal just took over. First he verbally tried to get Gilberto to give him the ball before smashing the ball out of his mate's hands.
Gilberto held firm though and ended up taking the free-kick anymore much to Defoe's dismay.
However, Gilberto had the last laugh by smashing home the free-kick in spectacular style, but to be fair to Defoe, after the goal he immediately forgave his teammate and smiled away. If only other sulky stars changed their tone so quickly.

Spurs legend finding feet abroad
Defoe might not be a Spurs player anymore but he's still making plenty of headlines in Major League Soccer with his current team Toronto FC.
In his final season at Tottenham he managed to bag 10 goals in all competitions, but only one of them came in his 14 Premier League games, and that lack of goals and games cost him a regular place in the Spurs side.
These days though the 31-year-old is the key man in the MLS his Canadian side, and so far this season he's managed 8 goals in 9 starts this campaign.
