It was an incredible night on RAW which saw a fantastic conclusion to the show and four big returns of former superstars.

Following the initial announcement at the top of the show that new WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena will defend his title at Battleground against Randy Orton, Kane and Roman Reigns in a fatal four way match, an epic tag team main event was set up.

Earlier in the night, Dean Ambrose had promised to interfere with any cash in attempts by Seth Rollins and the WWE Universe didn't have to wait long to see him live up to that promise.

There were four big returns throughout the show but one stuck out in particular as two guys returned to confront each other.

The Miz and Jericho clashed on their return but Jericho was left laid out after the Wyatt family pulled one of their old tricks by appearing when no-one expected them to and destroying everyone.

The next big return came as Paige was in the ring claiming she wasn't going anywhere, then who should come out but AJ Lee.

The diva that got Mrs CM Punk trending on Twitter convinced Paige to put her title on the line then and there and in shades of the night after WrestleMania, took the title away from her.

The final big 'return' was that of the genetic jackhammer, the boss, Mr Mcmahon...... kind of.

FINALLY, the WWE made it ok to love the Real Americans entrance theme as Lana and Rusev questioned who would be America's next failure?

Out came Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter who not only stared down the Bulgarian Brute from Moscow but made him leave the ring area and set up the next big Rusev feud.

There was however some bad news during the show - no pun intended, Bad News Barrett was officially confirmed as out for several months and the announcement that at Battleground there will be a battle royal to crown the new Intercontinental Champion both came accordingly.

Two men guaranteed to be in the battle royal squared off, Cesaro and Kofi Kingston, after Kingston got the win, Cesaro blew a gasket and attacked him relentlessly and didn't stop until Kingston was out cold.

Two tag team matches as Rybaxel once again lost to Stardust and Goldust while the Usos and Sheamus lost to the entire Wyatt family in their first appearance of the night.

Bo Dallas came out to respond to the awkward encounter between him and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan during Money in the Bank's pre-show.

He asked the WWE Universe to join him in a minutes silence for the two fallen WWE superstars Daniel Bryan and Bad News Barrett.

Fandango took on Dolph Ziggler and, well, this happened.

In the only other match, Nikki Bella lost to Naomi and Cameron in a handicap match booked by Stephanie McMahon which ended with the tag team imploding.
