Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez has little desire to join Liverpool this summer and would prefer to either stay at the Camp Nou or move to Arsenal. However, the Chile international will be encouraged to join the Merseyside outfit as Barcelona attempt to secure the signing of Luis Suarez.
According to the Mirror, Barcelona value Sanchez at £32 million and want to include the South American in a deal to sign £80 million-rated Suarez, even though the Uruguay international is banned for four months after biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
Barcelona and Liverpool negotiating
Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre and Barcelona’s technical director Raul Sanllehi are currently speaking in London, but a deal to take Suarez to the Camp Nou is still far from being completed.
In fact, the two clubs are understood to be £20 million apart in their valuation of Suarez, who Barcelona value at £60 million due to the lengthy suspension handed down by FIFA last week, which means he is ineligible to play for any club until the end of October.
Sanchez tells friends he prefers Arsenal
Although Liverpool would be more than happy to take Sanchez, who scored 21 goals and provided 15 assists in 54 matches for the Catalan giants last season, the 25-year-old has told friends that he would prefer a move to the Emirates Stadium instead. Arsenal are believed to be keen, as are Manchester United, but Barcelona would need to pay more cash upfront to sign Suarez if Sanchez refuses to move to Anfield.
Sanchez wants to stay put at the Camp Nou, but even though the Chilean is regarded as a world-class forward in his own right, his first-team opportunities would become limited if Suarez joins Lionel Messi and Neymar at Barcelona this summer.

Liverpool want situation sorted quickly
Liverpool want to the the situation sorted as quickly as possibly to avoid a repeat scenario as last summer, when Suarez confirmed his desire to leave the Reds for a club competing in the Champions League.
The striker, who went on to score 31 Premier League goals over the course of the 2013/14 campaign, was denied the chance to talk to Arsenal, even though the Gunners had triggered a release clause in the Uruguayan’s contract. But things could be different this summer - and the increasingly likely outcome will result in Suarez moving to Barcelona.
