There is further speculation over the future of Hamburg play-maker, Hakan Calhanoglu, with three Premier League sides join the race for his signature.
According to the Daily Express, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all preparing to line up bids of £10 million for the midfielder as they look to steer interest away from fellow Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen, who are also interested.
The 20-year-old helped to lift the club from relegation after they drew 1-1 with Greuther Fürth in the two legged play-off tie hence keeping their reputation as the only Bundesliga side to have not lost their top flight status.
He scored 11 goals in 32 appearances for the Red Shorts last season and although the club are trying desperately hard to keep hold of their players from the last campaign, the player's agent has already spoken out and said that Leverkusen are prepared to buy him.
It is claimed that Bayer have struck a verbal agreement with the player who has signalled that he wants to leave after rejecting a new deal. Still no confirmation has been made on the deal and now a handful of English sides are waiting at the door ready to snatch the Turkey International.
Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers made a personal trip to watch the midfielder in action last season and he has been advised to sign up the talented prospect. However, the Reds are close to sealing a deal for England and Southampton midfielder, Adam Lallana also
Following Frank Lampard's departure from Chelsea, Jose Mourinho is looking to freshen up his midfielder ranks and the 20 year old prospect would be a perfect replacement for the England International. The likely hood of the deal has been tarnished by the recent arrival of Cesc Fabregas but the Special One brought a large amount of midfielders last season so it wouldn't be surprising if he did the same.
And Arsenal are looking to build upon their FA Cup success by drawing in some more fresh faced players who can make a creative impact next season. Arsene Wenger wont want to take a step back next year as he would prefer to take the club forward before he walks away from the Emirates.
All of these murmurs could be silenced if Rudi Voller can agree a deal with the German rivals. They remain in pole position in terms of negotiations and the sporting director has confirmed that the club will step up their interest in order to land the player.
He said: "We are interested in Calhanoglu. We have already submitted a written offer to Hamburg. It's been refused for now, but will hopefully not be the last word."
