Manchester United looked to have finally missed out on Toni Kroos once for all, with the German star set to complete his move to Real Madrid after the World Cup according to reports in Spain.
The Bayern Munich man has one year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena and had been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League.
Manchester United are said to have been keen, while Chelsea had previously shown an interest in him. However it looks as though Real Madrid have won the race for his signature, and will hand him a bumper five-year contract at the Bernabeu.
The Red Devils appear to have already turned their attention elsewhere, with Alexis Sanchez and Colombia winger Juan Cuadrado believed to be on their radar.
