Southampton have agreed to sign Dusan Tadic from FC Twente for a fee of £8.7million, according to the Daily Mail.

The 25-year old attacking midfielder is being brought in to replace the club's outgoing star, Adam Lallana.

The Serbian footballer has been the subject of interest from the likes of Everton and Liverpool as well in the past, the youngster has scored 28 goals in 64 league appearances for his club in the Eredivisie. He scored 16 last season alone.

Earlier this week the departures of Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana were confirmed to Manchester United and Liverpool respectively. With the hefty fees gained, Southampton can set about rebuilding their squad which impressed in the Premier League last season commendably finishing 8th.

Tadic also has a handful of appearances for his national team. Meanwhile, manager Donald Koeman is also looking to sign prolific Italian striker Graziano Pelle from Feyenoord and Ben Davies, the promising Swansea left back, to reinforce areas of his squad vacated by recent transfers.
