France stars were showing no signs of nerves ahead of their World Cup quarter-final clash against Germany on Friday evening after a number of squad members were filmed attempting to recreate a famous scene from the Wolf of Wall Street movie at the end of training.
The Hollywood blockbuster is renowned around the world for many memorable moments, none more so than the clip that sees Matthew McConaughey's character Mark Hanna teaching Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo Di Caprio) a humming technique over lunch on his first day in the new stockbroker job.
McConaughey's spontaneous routine in the middle of recording was received so well that it made the final cut, and went on to become one of the most popular and talked about scenes in the entire production.
In this instance on the training ground in Brazil, Rio Mavuba appears to be the ring leader of the silly stunt, but is quickly joined by team-mates Loic Remy, Antonie Griezmann, Morgan Schneiderlin and Remy Cabella in re-enacting the hilarious footage.
World Cup - back to business
Judging by the terrible tuning issues the team-mates appeared to be experiencing as they sauntered off the training pitch, Les Bleus fans will be hoping the players hit a different kind of note when they take to the field against the Germans at the Maracana later today.
Ahead of France's quarter final clash, take a look at some of Didier Deschamps's stars performing the Wolf of Wall Street melody in the video below.
And now that's sorted, here's a look at the original movie scene for your enjoyment. You can't fail to be pumped after!
Here's hoping France can progress to the World Cup semi-finals at the expense of Germany, if only to provide further opportunities for more hilarious training ground footage from the camp in the future...
