Tottenham yesterday confirmed which youth players have been retained and which were released as pre-season approaches.

Retained

Academy players Daniel Akindayini, Filip Lesniak, Aaron McEneff, Luke McGee, William Miller, Nathan Oduwa, Connor Ogilvie, Emmanuel Sonupe and Harry Winks have all signed new contracts, along with Development squad members Alex McQueen, Grant Hall and Reuben Lameiras.

Oduwa, Miller and Winks are amongst the most highly rated players at the club, and will hope to follow alumni Andros Townsend, Harry Kane and Nabil Bentaleb in progressing to the senior ranks.

Released

Leaving the club are youngsters Laste Dombaxe, Giancarlo Gallifuoco, Cameron Lancaster, Darren McQueen, Roman Michael-Percil, Liam Priestley, Kane Vincent-Young, Kevin Stewart and Lawrence Vigouroux, with the latter two joining former Spurs U-18 manager Alex Inglethorpe at Liverpool.

With new manager Mauricio Pochettino having a penchant for giving young players an opportunity, another Europa League campaign on the horizon and home grown match day rules still in place, there is a chance the Lilywhites could give some game time to the retained dozen.
