We’re on our way to the fourth WWE pay-per-view on the wrestling calendar but that hasn’t stopped the rumours circulating surrounding the result of the 2015 Royal Rumble in January.
There are still six events yet to take place - with Battleground coming up on July 20 – and a handful of rumours are spreading around.
At the moment the biggest rumours include an imminent Brock Lesnar return which could take place as soon as Battleground, a potential WWE World Heavyweight Championship win as well in the coming months; and finally a heavily rumoured clash against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
Who knows just how many of these rumours will actually come to fruition, as WWE fans and dedicated fans know, plans are constantly changing in the WWE and whatever the rumours are today; they could change within days.
But as of late it seems as if rumours have turned into spoilers, the WWE magazine ruined The Shield split whilst Amazon released the SummerSlam poster a lot earlier than planned, showing that John Cena should be facing Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – meaning Cena should be retaining at Battleground.
Nevertheless WWE rumours are always fun to bring up and see the initial reactions of the fans who will be paying to watch the events, and just how potentially entertaining it could be.
If the current plans go ahead then, as expected, Roman Reigns will be our eventual winner.
That’s not all, the WWE are seriously considering multiple angles for the Royal Rumble match itself, the most heavily rumoured angle could see Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose as the final three competitors in the match; which will then lead on to Reigns winning the Rumble and heading to the main event of WrestleMania where he will capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Again, plans do change often but by the looks of things, fans might not want this plan to change any time soon as it makes sense and a clash between the three is something fans definitely want to see at one point.
The interesting note here is whether Seth Rollins will still have his Money in the Bank briefcase by the time the Royal Rumble swings by, or will he have already cashed it in? It will be interesting to see what unfolds in the coming months for ‘The Architect.’
For Roman Reigns, you can expect a massive 2014 for him, it looks likely that Triple H vs. Roman Reigns will take place at Night of Champions rather than SummerSlam, due to the WWE Network renewals. This means Randy Orton and Roman Reigns will battle at SummerSlam.
This is the year of Roman Reigns and it should be a very entertaining top baby face push for him as well.
WWE fans – what do you think? Will Roman Reigns be the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble? Let us know your picks in the comments section below.
