It's not exactly the time of the year for Royal Rumble rumours, what with the second biggest Pay-per-view of the year right around the corner but it seems WWE already have some bright ideas for their first pay-per-view of 2015.
The main thought was that if there was any place for the self proclaimed "best in the world" to make his triumphant return and finally book his place in the main event of WrestleMania, it would be the 2015 Royal Rumble.
Of course if this was the plan then WWE wouldn't give it away anyway because it would be the perfect place, think about it, the Royal Rumble is already the place for shock entrants and returns and this way he could downplay his part and go on to win the match and finally main event WrestleMania, which was rumoured to be one of the main reasons he left, because he worked hard for years and didn't get the place when part timers did.
But that's enough about CM Punk, the plans that have surfaced concern The Shield, now the WWE Universe will already know that the former trio are now officially over, but WWE are hoping to reunite them as early as next year and use them like they did with DX back in 2006.
Not only that but it seems the Royal Rumble will see all three men as the last remaining participants before Roman eliminates them and goes on to face the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 31.
Whether Seth Rollins eliminates Dean Ambrose to continue their rivalry and then Roman eliminates Seth still remains to be seen as well as who Roman will be facing in April, but it is heavily rumoured that he will be leaving with the two titles on his shoulders and it seems the beginning of the Road to Wrestlemania will be the beginning of his Reign in WWE.
Roman's rise to power has been rumoured since the destruction of The Shield the night after Payback when Seth turned on his "brothers" and joined the enemies in Evolution. Since then he and Dean Ambrose have walked down different paths as Dean looks for revenge on Seth and Roman looks for revenge with The Authority.
Dean and Roman did team up on this weeks Smackdown to face The Authority but it isn't thought that this will be a usual thing, Roman is becoming a main event A+ player, whilst Seth holds a big bargaining chip if Roman does leave Wrestlemania with the title and he could be The Authority's plan B.
