Serie A champions Juventus, are reportedly lining up a sensational swap deal involving Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba according to the Marca.
The speculation surrounding Argentina's World Cup star, Angel Di Maria, rages on with the latest developments suggesting Juventus are willing to swap their 21-year old French international, Paul Pogba, for the Real Madrid left winger.
Surplus to requirements
Di Maria has put in a series of impressive performances for Argentina during the World Cup and unbelievably following what was his best season for Los Blancos, Carlo Ancelotti wants to see the back of the player in order to make room for Monaco's James Rodriguez.
The Argentine doesn't believe he is fully appreciated at the club that he has served for the last four years, and is now ready to move on to a new challenge with no shortage of takers it must be said.
Arsenal, PSG, Manchester United, Monaco and Juventus have all expressed an interest in the player and if the latest developments coming out of Turin are true, Madrid could very well be in pole position to push the deal through.
Antonio Conte has been a long term admirer of Di Maria, and with Pogba not showing much interest in renewing his contract beyond 2016, the Turin giants could very well offload the French international this summer.
The Serie A Champions have made Di Maria, Morata and Alexi Sanchez their top targets for this transfer window, however considering the three are valued around €100 million, the only way Juventus could move forward would be to cash in on their star player.
It is thought that Chelsea were preparing to offer Juventus £60 million for Pogba, however considering their midfield resources of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Ramires, Fabregas, Nemanja Matic and more, it looks highly unlikely that Mourinho will move for the player.
Class act Pogba
Whether Louis Van Gaal wants to bring him back to Manchester remains to be seen, while Arsenal will never spend that amount on one player.
PSG have already offered Juve around €70 million, but it is thought that Zinedine Zidane has been trying to lure his compatriot to the Bernabeu, and the swap deal could pave the way for Pogba to finally make the move.
