Arsenal target leads five best La Liga replacements for Luis Suarez (1)

Arsenal are eyeing up one of the five players currently plying their trade in La Liga that have been linked with the Premier League and have the potential to replace him as the best player in England.

Recent reports have suggested the Liverpool striker is on the verge of completing a multi-million pound move to Barcelona in La Liga, with a price tag of £75million being suggested in some quarters.

In the Premier League last season Suarez cleaned up in the individual awards after scoring 31 goals in 33 league games nearly propelled the Anfield club to an unexpected first title since the 1989-1990 season.

However, they collapsed in the final few games with the trophy in their grasp and any hopes that the Uruguayan forward could put in another Player of the Season campaign to try and go one better in the coming season have all but disappeared.

Should Barcelona, as expected, complete the signing of Suarez in the coming weeks, the top flight in England will be losing its most impressive player to La Liga - some will suggest his biting antics make this a good thing, but losing any world class player to another league will diminish the quality in the one he is leaving.

Premier League fans need not fear though, as the biggest clubs in England have been linked with a number of leading stars in the Primera Division who have the potential to produce outstanding seasons - GMS have picked out five of them.
