England agony may finally come to an end

True seems the fact that England are in an ampersand like situation: complicated. Just one chastening winter Down Under and English cricket is still in a shock. "The bomb blasted in Australia and the radiation has traveled all the way along to the peaceful country of England that was celebrating a gargantuan amount of glories last year at this very time.

Poor Cook has had to eat all the flak for the mess that his critics think he cooked. Yes, Cook is responsible to some sort but he isn't necessarily the sole personality to be blamed for the mess but Jimmy, Bell, Pietersen, Trott, Swann and Prior too. All of England's doyens have failed comprehensively of late and that is a truth that one has to digest.

Those drives have stopped flowing from the English willows, the cherries don't swing these days and the English hands find it difficult to hold to a catch these days. You add to this, critics now have become orneries and are only adding to Captain Cook's grumpiness.

How does the mess end?

England are in that disgusting state of dishabille and hence catching cold after cold in this harsh weather. Talking in a more simple manner, at a tough time like this, they are playing without confidence and belief in what they are doing and thus even loss is easily denting the roots of Cook's troop and the leader of the troop too.

As simple as that, the one who can end the agony is the skipper who needs to gather himself, gain confidence and show some grit that his character has completely lacked. Yes, it'd tough to be confident particularly at a time like this, but in sports, you can't just let your past losses affect your present and future. You have to get over them quickly and think about "what next?", thats the way it goes and this is what Cook would need to understand.

He has lacked form and hence confidence. But now that he is lacking confidence, he won't gain his form any time soon either. A bit of belief, some bit of confidence and the Gloucester-born would be up and running like Graham Onions through a batting order at LV=CC. The rest will then take care of itself.

When does the agony end?

I have an inkling that the end to all the problems is just about nearing us. Acquiesce it or accept it honestly, you choice. What redounds to this is the unnecessary opprobrium they have all endured. If you continuously keep filling air in a balloon, there comes a times it blasts. The same is the case with Cricketers.

You keep crucifying them, you infuriate them and thats when they hit back as the toleration culminates and the anger inside comes out in your performance, top performance mind you.

The sehnsucht for questioning Cook's ability developed in 2009, we all know what happened afterwards. Keep that in mind and you'll find the answer as to what happens next.
