CM Punk left the WWE back in January after the Royal Rumble and hasn't been seen in a wrestling environment. Well now UFC star and massive WWE fan Ronda Rousey has come out in support of the Best In The World.
Lost the Love
After discussing the rumours that she could be set for a role in the company at some point - Rousey joked with Roman Reigns about becoming the third member of The Shield on Twitter - she spoke about CM Punk’s departure from the organization in January after the Royal Rumble.
“No one can make you have passion for something if you don’t," Rousey said. "I felt that way about judo. It was over. I was over it, and I didn’t want to do it anymore, regardless of how good I was at it. I didn’t want to be there. So if he wants to come back and find some passion again, I would love to see that. But if it’s time for him to move on in his life, then he has 100-percent of my support in that as well,” she said, according to Fansided.com.
Punk's UFC Fun
Since his sort of retirement from WWE, Punk has been really enjoying the good life, taking in Chicago Cubs baseball games, Blackhawks NHL as well as multiple UFC events, including those matches of Rousey,
Punk - real name Phillip Jack Brooks - was keeping that up by tweeting about the UFC 175 results on Saturday, giving credit to challenger Lyoto Machida as well as Chris Weidman and Rousey herself for her incredible 16 second win on Saturday.
It doesn't look like Punk is coming back any time soon. And while that's a shame for the fans, it's the best thing for him right now. Lets just hope he gets that fire back in his belly.
