With the World Cup at the semi-final stage and the competition mere days away from completion, thoughts are beginning to turn more seriously to the next Premier League campaign, with pre-season for some already underway.

The transfer window, of course, is now open as well which brings some added intrigue ahead of the new term, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United having all been prominent players so far.

Transfer splurges

Chelsea have secured the acquisition of Cesc Fabregas, while Diego Costa will soon follow. Liverpool have spent around £40 million and will splash more following the sale of Luis Suarez, while Manchester United have confirmed two notable recruits for Louis van Gaal.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are likely to imminently join the party with Mathieu Debuchy set to sign from Newcastle and a deal edging ever closer that will see Alexis Sanchez arrive at the Emirates Stadium from the Camp Nou.

New signings = pressure

This numerous high profile arrivals will all be under pressure to hit the ground running following arrivals at their respective clubs, while these deals will also places the positions of some current Premier League stars in doubt.

But of the club’s likely to be vying for the title in 14/15, which players will be under the most pressure?
