New Zealand among the favourites for rugby sevens gold in Glasgow (1)

With Wimbledon now over and the football World Cup drawing to a close on Sunday, the next major sporting event this summer is the Commonwealth Games.

While the athletics events will be the main attractions, the rugby sevens will be watched with anticipation as the sport will make its debut in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in two years’ time.

The teams that will play on the 26 and 27 of July at the Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow will be similar to those at the Olympics in 2016, so here are the favourites to claim gold this month.
