Arsenal have received a huge boost in their attempts to land a new striker this summer, with France forward Antoine Griezmann said to have turned down a new deal at Real Sociedad.
That has put the Gunners on red alert as they look to add numbers to their attacking line-up in order to help Olivier Giroud next season. At the moment it seems as though they are intent on securing the services of World Cup star Alexis Sanchez, but their attention will soon switch a little further up the field.
AS report that the striker, who featured for France at the World Cup, has turned down a two-year offer from his current club - and that could allow Arsenal to pounce.
As it stands his current contract will expire in 2016, which could prompt Sociedad to sell up. He has a release clause of €30 million which Arsenal may not be willing to pay, although one of his other suitors which include Liverpool, PSG, Monaco and Chelsea may well be.
