As the World Cup nears its conclusion, attentions will soon turn towards the upcoming club campaigns, and the transfer of players who have shone in Brazil will soon dominate sporting discussions.

However, it is not just the players on the pitch who may have done enough to justify a summer move.

Plenty of managers have exited the tournament with their heads held high, having surpassed expectation with their respective nations.

This World Cup has been one for forwards, with a record number of goals being scored, and the open nature of matches has been particularly rewarding for football fans.

The exhibition of expansive football is owed in some form to the coaches who have encouraged it, rather than sitting back and defending.
