Manchester United flop Bebe has admitted that he's interested in joining Benfica this summer.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the forward - who was on loan at Pacos de Ferreira last term - joined the Red Devils in 2010, but has rarely featured for the club throughout the four years. He's endured a tricky time at the Theatre of Dreams, having still not started a Premier League game for the club.
And now it appears that he could be heading for the Old Trafford exit door, despite currently being with the club on pre-season training.
Speaking to Antena 1, Bebe said: "I think it would be a good opportunity for me.
"For now I will wait for my agent to resolve it. He will certainly know better than I do whether it's true or not.
"Of course it would be a great opportunity for me. Maybe I could play more and they could rely on me more. I think it would be a unique opportunity."
Van Gaal plans
It remains to be seen as to whether new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will grant the outcast a transfer in this window, but it appears likely that he will be ready to sell.
United have an array of talent in their forward line, with the likes of Juan Mata, Adnan Januzaj, Wayne Rooney and Co. all starring at the Theatre of Dreams. The Red Devils boss is set to join up with the squad next week, with his Dutch side in action against Brazil in the World Cup third place play-off clash tonight.
It certainly looks set to be an exciting future at Manchester United under the new regime. Despite the club appearing set to offload Bebe, they have already purchased Spanish ace Ander Herrera and teenage star Luke Shaw from Southampton.
It remains to be seen as to whether Van Gaal will sell any other United players in this transfer window, but fans will now be hoping that the club further add to the squad ahead of the 2014/15 season.
