Manchester United are confident of landing Real Madrid superstar Angel Di Maria when talks resume next week, according to

The report has indicated that the Red Devils are closing in on the Argentine superstar, with the club having already agreed personal terms with the winger.

It appears that the £45m rated star is keen to work under new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, but the Red Devils will now have to agree a fee with the Bernabeu outfit. 

Di Maria would certainly prove a welcome addition at the Theatre of Dreams after a number of United's wingers proved inconsistent last term. The likes of Ashley Young, Nani and Antonio Valencia all struggled to find their best form under the last regime. 

United's youngsters will, however, be hoping to make an impression in the 2014/15 season, with Wilfried Zaha and Adnan Januzaj hoping to play a starring role next term.

Third signing 

If United are able to secure the player's signature, then he will represent Van Gaal's third major signing of the summer. The new United boss has already signed teenage full-back Luke Shaw and Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera in this transfer window. 

After a nightmare campaign under David Moyes, Manchester United fans will certainly be excited ahead of the new season. It certainly looks set to be a busy couple of months at Old Trafford.
