The proposed move of Chilean midfielder, Arturo Vidal, from Juventus to Manchester United, remains up in the air, with the player stating he is happy to remain with the Turin based outfit if nothing materialises from the interest Manchester United have shown in recent weeks, according to Goal.
Vidal joined Juventus from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in 2011 for around £9 million, and following a successful three-year period with the: "Old Lady," which has seen the club land three consecutive Serie A titles and two Supercoppa Italiano, the Chilean star's value has soared to £32 million, attracting interest from a host of top clubs, most notably Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Vidal also took advantage of the World Cup shop window, showcasing his ability on both attack and defence. The 27-year old is a box to box player, a real team man and the heart of the Juventus engine room.
The Chilean spent much of his younger years playing in a number of different positions highlighting his versatile approach to his midfield role with the Serie A giants.
He also has a fierce tackling reputation which has earned him the name: "Il Guerriero," or "The Warrior," a part of his game that would suit the Premier League's physical demands.
Louis Van Gaal has been an admirer of Vidal for some time now and believes his creative ball-winning ability would compliment the attacking flair of new signing Ander Herrera.
Happy at Juventus
While the speculation rages on about the future of Vidal, the player is currently enjoying a well earned break following his exploits in Brazil and has made it perfectly clear that if a deal with United cannot be agreed he is more than happy to remain in Turin.
"I am already at a great team like Juventus. That's why it will not be a problem if the option of Manchester United falls through," Vidal told Chilevision.
"I am not thinking about where to go next. I just want to enjoy my holiday here in Chile with the people I love. We will see what happens when I get back to Italy."
"Anyone would like to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world."
Vidal would be a Premier League hit
Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich is currently in London putting the finishing touches to the Alexis Sanchez move to Arsenal, following which he is expected to discuss the proposition of a Vidal move to United with Manchester officials.
Vidal is contracted to Juventus until the Summer of 2017 and the club will only let their prize asset leave for the right money.
