The long wait is over Manchester United fans; Louis van Gaal is officially in the building. The Dutchman today starts his official residence as Red Devils boss and, unsurprisingly, a number of major decisions are expected to be made in the coming days.
However the biggest calls of them all inevitably concern the current squad, with a number of first-team players sweating over what lies ahead for them with regards to their careers at Old Trafford.
According to The Guardian as many as six players are now awaiting Van Gaal's confirmation that they will either be assured of their long-term futures at the club or told that they are not needed. It doesn't really take a genius to work out exactly which six that is.
Javier Hernandez, Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher, Shinji Kagawa and Chris Smalling are all currently unsure of the role they will play in Van Gaal's new-look United set up, but The Guardian claims it won't be long before the 62-year-old turns out a verdict.
Here at GiveMeSport we're not in the business of waiting around, so we've decided to make Van Gaal's decision for him.
