Should Real Madrid let Arsenal target Sami Khedira leave the Bernabeu this summer manager Carlo Ancelotti is looking at Chelsea star Ramires as a suitable replacement, according to reports in Marca cited by Inside Futbol .
Sami leaving the Spanish capital
Khedira has been the subject of intense transfer speculation over a move to the Premier League after refusing to sing a new contract with the Spanish giants earlier this summer, with both Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly interested in acquiring the World Cup winner's signature.
Ancelotti for Ramires
However, despite Toni Kroos putting pen to paper over a move to Madrid, Ancelotti does not see him as a replacement for Khedira, and wants Brazilian Ramires to run his midfield at the Bernabeu.
Mourinho is supposedly unwilling to let the tireless 27-year-old leave, and sees him as a vital part of his plans next season, most likely being used in a squad rotation system.
Ramires has been a crucial player for chelsea in recent years, twice winning the goal of the season award, and his endless running has been fundamental to Chelsea's success over the years.
Kroos not enough?
Kroos is expected to complete his dream move to Madrid later this week believed to be a five-year-contract worth £160,000 per week.
Although Kroos is not a Khedira replacement, in Ancelotti's eyes at least, he may have to serve that position should Chelsea stand strong on Ramires, or the Italian boss may have to look elsewhere to find the services he requires.
