Crystal Palace have begun their pre-season campaign with a thumping 13-1 win at GAK Graz.
Stephen Dobbie scored five, with Glenn Murray and Jonny Williams grabbing a brace each for the Eagles, as Joe Ledley, Yannick Bolasie, Jerome Thomas and Marouane Chamakh were also on target for the visitors.
It took just five minutes for Palace to take the lead with Ledley prodding home from close range from a corner.
Bolasie soon doubled the lead with a penalty converting from the spot after he was fouled in the box.
The score was 5-0 at half-time as Murray scored twice before Thomas put the game beyond doubt prior to the invterval.
Pulis rang the changes at half-time but that didn't stop his Eagles's soaring despite Graz pulling one back Laurenz Sacher.
Palace subsitute Dobbie collected a five-minute hat trick after 67 minutes before adding a personal fourth four minutes later.
On the up
Although the opposition wasn't the at the same quality Crystal Palace will be facing each week, I am expecting a lot from the North London side next season.
Tony Pulis' defensive, hard working philosophy has already been perfected at his new club and if the attacking side of the team improves they will truly be a force to be reckoned with. In my opinion Palace will definitely secure a top 10 finish next season if they can persuade Tottenham's Gylfi Sigurdsson to the club.
Sources claim Tottenham accepted an £8 million bid from their North London rivals for the services of the Icelandic midfielder but he is reluctant to leave. With this contribution in the form of goals and assists Palace could be dark horses for a Europa League sport.
