An AFL survey has found that Gold Coast superstar Gary Ablett is regarded as the competition's most excting player.
The views of more than 23,000 supporters were taken on a variety of AFL associated topics, with Ablett taking 26.1% of the vote in the most exciting player category.
The reigning Brownlow medallist has taken his game to new heights in recent seasons as he continues to play a pivotal role in the establishment of the franchise.
Sydney Swans star recruit Lance 'Buddy' Franklin came in second, with Port Adelaide's Chad Wingard coming in third to establish himself as the competition's most exciting young player. Hawthorns Cyril Rioli and Fremantle's Nathan Fyfe completed the top five.
In some of the other categories, Melbourne boss Paul Roos pipped Fremantle counterpart Ross Lyon and Hawthorn's Alistair Clarkson to be voted the AFL's best strategic coach. The recent upturn in the performances of the Demons helped Roos take the title
There was also good and bad news for supporters of Collingwood. The Magpies topped the charts as the most supported team in the AFL but were also voted the most hated club. Ouch.
