With the NFL, NBA and NHL all in their off-seasons, it can be difficult for sports fans to cope without their favourite sports.

We've had the NFL, NBA and NHL drafts and now all attention turns towards the pre-season and the eventual resumption of the regular season.

However not everyone is sitting round and waiting for the players to take to the field/court/ice once again.

In their mini show called 'No Filter', FOX Sports and their host Katie Nolan have decided to turn some of the biggest movies into stories featuring professional sports stars.

Most notable stars include Cleveland Browns Quarterback Johnny Manziel, former LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling and former Denver Broncos and New York Jets Quarterback Tim Tebow.

When they decided to place some of the infamous sports stars into their own movies, it became pure comic gold.

The most notable idea came in the form of Donald Sterling starring in Minority Report.

The idea of Johnny Manziel playing a starring role in the Hangover is a very on the nose joke, possibly the most obvious joke in all of football but still, I'd watch that movie.

The idea of Manziel and his Browns team-mates running around Las Vegas in the search of a lost colleague is nothing short of funny.

NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, controversial New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and rumoured to be next Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt.

The whole show is fairly funny but I think everyone can hope that Katie Nolan's hopes come true and that by Monday, sports has happened.

Waiting for the start

It has already been an eventful off-season for all three sports, from the NFL draft that featured some fairly big shocks, to the biggest story of the summer in LeBron James returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite all this off-season action, there is no comparison to when the season is under way.

The upcoming NFL season is set to be one of the most exciting with the team who last year became the best offense in NFL history strongly updating their defense and everyone eager to see what the Seattle Seahawks can do once again.

It may be much further away, but the upcoming NBA season will be unlike anything we have ever seen before, the LeBron James trade has caused a major shift in power in the league and some of the teams who made the play-offs last year are looking much stronger this time round.

Last years NHL season was one to remember, we had terrific performances and the unbelievable tale of the play-off heroics of the LA Kings and next year should be just as exciting.
