Ever been part of a team where you're sure you're good enough to get a game, but seem to be left out in the cold repeatedly all the same? You're not alone, there's plenty of professionals who have to.

Football is a routinely ruthless game when it comes to individuals not being given their crack at the whip, and there's a host of players in the modern game who can attest to how unfair it can be at times. 

With the summer transfer window having grown its legs and clubs firmly undertaking their business it's now or never for such stars. It's all well and good being on the books at a major club, but if you're not getting the opportunity to play then there's surely not much use in being there?
