Tottenham have completed a deal to bring Michel Vorm and Ben Davies to White Hart Lane, according to the Daily Mail. The transfer will be worth £15 million overall with a sum of money and Gylfi Sigurdsson heading to the Liberty Stadium.
Welsh full-back, Ben Davies has been on the books of many clubs this summer after an impressive season. The 21-year-old had welcomed a move to Anfield but is believed to have swayed towards the north London side for more game time.
Vorm, fresh from a few minutes of international duty, was also linked with a move north but seems to be joining Davies in Tottenham. He will most likely replace Brad Friedel, who will enter the 20th season of his professional career, as Spurs' second goalkeeper providing competition for Hugo Lloris.
Swansea fans will be disappointed to see two of their leading players exit but feelings will be mixed with the return of Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson, who starred in a loan spell in 2012. The 24-year-old scored seven goals in just 18 appearances under Brendan Rodgers, who had previously hoped to bring him to Anfield, and immediately earned a place in the hearts of the supporters.
Sigurdsson braced for warm welcome on return
He will most likely receive a warm reception on his return, especially after seeming to have snubbed a move to Crystal Palace who looked favourites for his signature a week ago.
If the transfer does go through it will be a huge blow for Liverpool just four weeks away from the start of the season. Brendan Rodgers will be forced to pursue other goalkeeping options with Pepe Reina still hopeful of a return to Napoli, where he spent last season on loan.
He may now look to Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand who is unlikely to claim Ashley Cole's pending position after the capture of Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid.
