CM Punk is still big news despite his departure from WWE, and on Monday he finally broke his silence on whether he will ever wrestle again for the entertainment business.
Ever since he left WWE back in January, the day after Royal Rumble, rumors regarding CM Punk's possible return from exile have dominated WWE news, but it seems that Punk has now all but dispelled the possibility of a return to the ring.
Or has he?
Does he mean it?
CM Punk spoke with a reporter on Monday at the AP Music Awards and naturally he was asked about his WWE future, after his contract reportedly expired on July 17th. In response, Punk declared he wouldn't be returning to WWE ever.
"So should we call you a WWE superstar or a former superstar?" asked the reporter.
"I'm CM Punk. I'm just a superstar." Punk responded.
"Do you think there is ever a chance we will see you back in a squared circle?" The reporter followed up.
"No, never ever. Never ever ever," said a defiant CM Punk.

Now what can we take from the video below? It's alright reading what Punk said, but to truly get an understanding of where he's at mentally, the video below needs to be watched.
What do you think about that? Now he's saying he will never return, but he says it in an almost overly tongue in cheek way, so much so that you could actually see him returning one day. Maybe that's just hope on my part. But I know not everyone feels the same way, and fair play.
Many WWE fans blame CM Punk for exiting WWE in the acrimonious circumstances he did. Cutting back all the politics, it's not nice to see superstars leave WWE in their prime, but that's just one opinion.
Punk addresses fans
One things for sure, CM Punk is well aware that his comments at the AP Music Awards will have WWE fans all reacting and analyzing what he said. Immediately after he snapped and provided all WWE fans a glimmer into the inner workings of his mind, Punk straight away joked that fans will be holding him to his pledge.
"They're going to go crazy about that on Twitter, they're gonna like hold me to it. And yeah whatever," Punk added.
It seems that CM Punk doesn't really care about wrestling right now, but for the sake of some WWE fans, hopefully that changes one day.
