The Rock believes wrestling legend Sting will finally get his shot in the WWE after years of rumors.
'The People's Champion' Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson spoke recently about the popular legend, who is loved for his wrestling career in WCW.
Johnson was attending the premiere of his new movie, Hercules, and he answered a few questions about wrestling when he sat down with reporters.
“I do [think Sting will "come back"], yeah. I know a guy or two, so let's just put it like that. I do think he's going to come back and I think it's going to be great. If he does."
Fuel to the fire
These comments are bound to further fuel the already burning fire regarding the subject of a possible WWE deal for Sting.
Sting has been announced as a bonus playable character on WWE 2K15. And WWE Chairman Vince McMahon added to the speculation of a deal in the pipeline by tweeting, #WWE2K15 with @Sting. Does art imitate life?”
The fact that WWE’s boss brought up the subject proves that there almost definitely will be a WWE deal on the cards for Sting soon.
Triple H also added in his midweek interview last Wednesday that “never say never” when it comes to crazy WWE rumors coming true.
What about The Rock?
Meanwhile, it's not just wrestling legend Sting that is set to be featuring in WWE in the near future. The Rock himself could be about to return to WWE soon.
Johnson admitted in recent weeks that he’s spoken with McMahon about a WWE return, and it's now a case of finding out which opponent makes the most sense for The Rock.
A star with a marque pull is crucial for The Rock and he has a few in mind for possible feuds that may lie ahead. According to reports, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns are two wrestlers that stand out right now, but it’s understood that those wrestlers still need to become huge stars to be considered.
