Manchester United have revealed their new Nike away kit for the 2014/15 season, with a classic white and black look.

The club will look very smart as they tear into opponents away from Old Trafford with their new attire, featuring a black polo neck collar opening up to reveal a small black devil.

On the reverse of the collar, a red, white and black stripe can be seen in a nod to former United legends. Black shorts and white socks complete the kit, hoping to give the side that winning edge as they start a new era and season.

A new era

And that season begins under the reign of new manager Louis van Gaal, who wasted no time in asserting his authority at the club, buying players Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera before he had officially started work. He has now taken the side on their tour of the USA and kicks off his first game in charge against MLS side LA Galaxy in the early hours of Thursday morning.

After unveiling the new look home kit, donning a new shirt sponsor, with Chevrolet, Manchester United stated on Twitter that they ‘like to travel in style’.

“Here at Manchester United we like to travel in style. The 2014/15 away kit continues that tradition.”

With the announcement of it being Nike’s last year as shirt provider for Manchester United, after a 13-year tenure, they sure have gone out with a bang, giving the club a shirt to remember and stand above the crowd with a bang.

Rival sportswear brand Adidas then jumped at the chance to strike a deal, confirming a staggering £750 million agreement over 10 years.

With this new shirt deal, one thing is for sure, United are still one of the biggest brands and clubs in world football.

For now though the new Nike away kit is here, giving them a sharp edge going into their first away game of the season against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and this away kit that they will be playing in can be purchased in-store and online from July 23.
