Arturo Vidal is still the man at the centre of the attention when it comes to Manchester United transfer rumours, and reports in Chile say the Red Devils have made it clear that paying Juventus €50 million for his services isn't an issue.
They add that Louis van Gaal is the driving force behind the deal, which should reach its conclusion either way soon when they player returns from holiday.
Vidal appears to be near the top of Van Gaal's summer transfer hitlist, but last week it was suggested that the deal could well be off. Despite that, the rumours regarding the Chilean's future persist. According to Chiliean newspaper La Tercera, Van Gaal is now even more keen to get the deal done because Michael Carrick has been ruled out of action for up to 12 weeks which leaves him short of options in midfield.
Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has already revealed that the club would have no problem in paying a record transfer fee for a player this summer, and La Tercera say that the Red Devils do not consider Vidal's €50 million fee as an issue. It is now down to convincing the player to move and forcing Juventus to sell up.
